Requirement of Family Income
The family income of employer shall not be less than HK$180,000.00 or equivalent assets in deposit, sufficient to pay the employment within the entire contract period. Employer may use tax bill, fixed deposit, monthly issued bankbook or interest bill as the certificate for income, and bill from private company is not applicable. In case any income certificate or address certificate other than the name of the employer or company, certificate such as marriage license, birth certification or annual application form is required to verify the relationship.
For Employee
- Annual salary on the tax bill shall not be less than HK$180,000.00
- Fixed deposit HK$360,000.00 or above
- Or monthly salary HK$15,000.00 or above
For Self-employed
- Company income tax form
- Certificate in certifying the relationship between employer and the company, such as: (Business Registration Certificate/Share Distribution Record 1(b))
- Fixed deposit/current deposit bill in the past 3 months must be over HK360,000.00
- Or the latest appraising notice for property tax
For retired or person without income
- Fixed deposit/current deposit bill in the past 3 months must be over HK360,000.00
- The latest appraising notice for property tax
- Monthly income from property rent
- Guaranteed by family income, the following documents shall be submitted by the warrantor:
- Copy of identity card
- Guarantee Letter
- Copy of the first page of passport so as to verify the signature
- Address certificate of warrantor
Habitation Requirement
The employer shall arrange a suitable habitation for the maid in proper private protection such as an independent room, or share the room with child or adult of the same gender, no sharing room with adult in opposite gender is allowed. For the address applied in the employment contract, it can be verified by any payment bill, water bill, electricity bill, gas bill, home telephone bill or cable TV bill of recent 3 months. In case public house is rented by the employer, leasing contract as well as consent on temporary stay from the associated house administration office (permit of temporary stay).
Accommodation Proof
For self-procured private house
- Water bill, electricity bill, gas bill, home telephone bill or demand for Rate and Government Rent of recent 3 months
For self-procured public house
- Demand for rates and government rent bill of recent 3 months.
- It is not necessary for the employer to apply permit of temporary stay for maid from the associated house administration office.
For rented private house (bill in the name of the owner)
- Water bill, electricity bill, gas bill, payment bill, home telephone bill of recent 3 months.
- If all of the above bills are under the name of the owner, it is necessary to show the leasing contract with stamp tax.
For rented public house (bill in the name of the employer)
- Water bill, electricity bill, gas bill, home telephone bill of recent 3 months.
- Page 1~4 of the property leasing contract.
- The employer has to apply permit of temporary stay for maid from the associated house administration office with contract and the passport of the maid. Which normally need 5~7 days to get it ready.
Required Application Time
About 2 and half to 3 months (Due to examination and approval of consulate and immigration department). In order to ensure timely arrival of maid, we suggest employer to be applied in advance.

Notice to Customers Relating to the Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance (the 'Ordinance')
This Statement is made by Asia-One in accordance with the Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region ('the Ordinance'). The Statement is intended to notify you why personal data is collected, how it will be used and to whom data access requests are to be addressed.
- From time to time, it is necessary for customers to supply Asia-One with data in connection with the opening or continuation of accounts and the establishment or continuation of hiring foreign domestic helper or provision of hiring foreign domestic helper services or compliance with any laws or guidelines issued by regulatory or other authorities.
- Failure to supply such data may result in Asia-One being unable to provide such services or continue to provide such services or comply with any laws or guidelines issued by regulatory or other authorities.
- It is also the case that data are collected from customers in the ordinary course of the continuation of the relationship, for example, when customers hire or renew the employment contract with a foreign domestic helper.
- The purposes for which data relating to a customer may be used are as follows :
a) the daily operation of hiring foreign domestic helper services and such related services provided to customers;
b) ensuring ongoing related services provides to customers;
c) designing foreign domestic helper hiring services or related products for customers' use;
d) meeting the requirements to make disclosure under the requirements of any law binding on Asia-One or any of its branches or under and for the purposes of any guidelines issued by regulatory or other authorities with which Asia-One or any of its branches are expected to comply;
e) purposes relating thereto. - 5. Data held by Asia-One relating to a customer will be kept confidential but Asia-One may provide such information to the following parties (whether within or outside the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region) for the purposes set out:
a) Any agent, responsible for the FDH training, examination, immigration formalities, insurance, FDH and FDH’s family, etc. All the relevant government, private institutions and connected persons related to the company's provision of employment services (Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Immigration Department and FDH-related Consulate-General in Hong Kong, FDH hometown training center, FDH family and insurance company, etc.) to achieve any of the above or related purposes, or telecommunications, computer, payment or other services to Asia-One in connection with the operation of its business;
b) Any other person under a duty of confidentiality to Asia-One including a group company of Asia-One which has undertaken to keep such information confidential;
c) Any person to whom Asia-One is under an obligation to make disclosure under the requirements of any law binding on Asia-One or any of its branches or under and for the purposes of any guidelines issued by regulatory or other authorities with which Asia-One or any of its branches are expected to comply; and
d)Asia-One’s group companies; third party companies and services providers; charitable or non-profit making organizations. Such information may be transferred to a place outside Hong Kong. - 6. Of all the data which may be collected or held by Asia-One from time to time in connection with hiring foreign domestic helper services, the following data relating to the customer (including any updated data of any of the following data) may be provided by Asia-One, on its own behalf and/or as agent :
a) Full name;
b) Capacity in respect of hiring the foreign domestic helper (as employer or supporter);
c) Hong Kong Identity Card Number or travel document number;
d) Date of birth;
e) Correspondence address;
f) Any other necessary documents and/or information in respect of hiring the foreign domestic helper.
Use of Data in Direct Marketing
Asia-One intends to use a customer's data in direct marketing and Asia-One requires the customer's consent (which includes an indication of no objection) for that purpose. In this connection, please note that:
- The name, contact details, products and other service portfolio information, transaction pattern and behaviour, financial background and demographic data of a customer held by Asia-One from time to time may be used by Asia-One in direct marketing;
- The following classes of services, products and subjects may be marketed :
a) Household, education, travel, transportation, banking, insurance, health, entertainment and other consumer products and foreign domestic helper related services and products;
b) Reward, loyalty, privileges or co-branding programmes and related services and products;
c) Services and products offered by Asia-One co-branding partners (the names of such co-branding partners will be provided during the application of the relevant services and products, as the case may be); and
d) Donations and contributions for charitable and/or non-profit making purposes; - 3. The above services, products and subjects may be provided by or solicited by Asia-One and/or :
a) Asia-One group companies;
b) Third party financial institutions, insurers, and/or other services providers;
c) Charitable or non-profit making organizations;
If a customer does not wish Asia-One to use or provide to other persons his data for use in direct marketing as described above, the customer may exercise his opt-out right by notifying Asia-One
According to the Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance, any individual has the right :
- to check whether Asia-One holds data about him and of access to such data;
- to require Asia-One to correct any data relating to him which is inaccurate;
- to ascertain the Asia-One 's policies and practices in relation to data and to be informed of the kind of personal data held by Asia-One;
In accordance with the terms of the Ordinance, Asia-One has the right to charge a reasonable fee for the processing of any data access request.
Nothing in this Notice shall limit the rights of customers under the Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance.
